Preview: West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United at The Hawthorns.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal could include Ander Herrera in his squad to face West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.

The midfielder has been suffering with a broken rib, but the Spaniard has returned to training ahead of the trip to The Hawthorns.

Michael Carrick is also back in training but the game could come too soon for the England international, while Patrick McNair is expected to be out until the end of October.

Striker and captain Wayne Rooney sits out the second game of his three-match suspension after being sent off against West Ham United.

West Bromwich Albion saw their recent winning run come to an end away at Liverpool in their last match but head coach Alan Irvine will be encouraged by the Baggies' recent performances.

A disappointing start to the campaign reportedly left Irvine fighting for his job but the West Midlands outfit have turned it around to sit in 14th place in the league table.

Defender Andre Wisdom could return after missing out against his parent club, but midfielder Claudio Yacob will miss the game after being granted compassionate leave.
