Louis van Gaal baffled by Manchester United's poor away form

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal admits that he is baffled by his side's poor away form this season as United have failed to pick a victory away from Old Trafford.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal finds it "remarkable" that his side have failed to win away from Old Trafford this season.

The Red Devils have failed to record a victory in their five away games in the Premier League during the campaign, and also fell to a 4-0 defeat to the MK Dons in the Capital One Cup.

Van Gaal has admitted that he is surprised by his side's lack of success, but feels that they could turn the corner with a victory against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

He told reporters: "That is remarkable. Normally, for me, away games are not any different in terms of how we play. But it's a fact that we couldn't win until now. Maybe Arsenal will be the first, you never know.

"It's always vital in sport, I believe [to go on a winning run]. Believe me, Manchester United, the manager of Manchester United and all the players and staff want to win every game and we do everything to win the game every week."

United are seventh in the Premier League ahead of their clash against the Gunners later today.
