Jonjo Shelvey, Sir Alex Ferguson in altercation

Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey exchanged words with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson following his red card on Sunday.

The 20-year-old, who was dismissed in the first half for a challenge on Jonny Evans, also clashed with Rio Ferdinand as he left the pitch.

The former Charlton Athletic youngster was shown arguing with the United boss as he made his way down the tunnel.

The match currently remains level at 0-0.
