Juan Mata eyes Champions League qualification

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata sets his sights on helping his new side qualify for the Champions League this season.

New Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has set his sights on helping the team qualify for the Champions League this season.

United currently sit six points behind fourth-placed Liverpool in the Premier League table, having lost seven of their opening 22 league games under manager David Moyes.

"Everything is going to be fine, with the squad we have and the players we can [buy] in summer," Mata told reporters.

"It is really important for the club to have an opportunity to play in the Champions League next season. That is what this club deserves.

"But I have no doubt this club is going to be successful for sure."

Mata has also refused to rule out the possibility of United winning the title this season despite trailing leaders Arsenal by 14 points.
