Hoddle: 'Ferguson replacement has hard task'

Former England manager Glenn Hoddle believes that whoever replaces Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United has an uphill challenge.

The Scot announced his retirement yesterday and will end his 26-year tenure at Old Trafford at the end of the season. Reports have suggested that Everton boss David Moyes will replace him.

Hoddle told Sky Sports News: "I don't think it will ever be surpassed, 13 league titles and all the rest, it has been incredible.

"Whoever goes in has got a really hard task. It's a great job, but it's a difficult job in many ways because of that hanging over your shoulder all of the time."

Ferguson guided United to their 20th league title this season and the 13th under his management.
