France boss Didier Deschamps hopes that Paul Pogba's last two performances for the national team will help him rediscover his best form for Manchester United.

France boss Didier Deschamps has said that he is hopeful Paul Pogba's last two performances for the national team will help him rediscover his best form for Manchester United.

Pogba has found himself out of United's starting XI in recent weeks after failing to impress, but the midfielder played a key role in France's UEFA Nations League wins over Portugal and Sweden.

Deschamps lavished praise on the 27-year-old for his two displays and is hopeful that he can now flourish for the 20-time English champions after a difficult spell.

"Just see what he was able to do in Portugal and what he did tonight (Tuesday)," The Mirror quotes Deschamps as saying.

"I know him, I know how he works. He has pride and above all he has talent. When you have to defend, he can defend. When he has the opportunity to express himself, he is able to do so. Paul is a top-level player and I hope what he did with us will be useful to him when he gets back to his club."

Pogba, who continues to be linked with Juventus and Real Madrid, has a contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side until the summer of 2022.

The midfielder recently suggested that the international break came at a good time due to his struggles for the Red Devils.
