Manchester United reportedly have just Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti on their list of potential candidates to become the club's new manager.
The North-West outfit are expected to appoint a permanent successor to David Moyes in the summer after giving Ryan Giggs the role until the end of the season following the Scot's sacking last week.
While Van Gaal has been widely tipped to join Old Trafford after the World Cup in Brazil, it is understood that United are keeping a close eye on Ancelotti, who is their only other contender, according to The Express.
Recent reports have emerged claiming that Van Gaal will sign a three-year contract, but United could swoop for Ancelotti should Madrid fail to reach the Champions League final.
The Spanish giants take a 1-0 lead into tonight's semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
