Report: Louis van Gaal to sign three-year deal with Manchester United

Louis van Gaal is reportedly poised to sign a three-year contract worth £25m to become the next manager of Manchester United next week.

Manchester United are ready to appoint Louis van Gaal as their new manager as early as next week, according to a report.

The 62-year-old has been the overwhelming favourite to replace David Moyes and will step down from his role as the head coach of the Netherlands after the World Cup to reportedly join the Red Devils.

Van Gaal will sign a three-year contract with United worth £25m and will bring his own coaching staff to the club, although current interim boss Ryan Giggs will be retained in a coaching role, reports The Mirror.

The Dutchman was last involved in club management with Bayern Munich from 2009 to 2011, but his tenure was ended when he was sacked by the German side.
