Manchester United's Paul Pogba still out for "a few weeks"

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims that the Red Devils will have to make do without the injured Paul Pogba for another "few weeks".

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has conceded that Paul Pogba will likely remain out of action for "a few weeks".

The former Juventus man has not taken to the field since limping off with a hamstring injury against Everton on February 6, and Solskjaer had previously ruled him out for the rest of the month.

There was initial optimism that Pogba could have returned in time to face Crystal Palace on March 3, but Solskjaer has now revealed that the midfielder will be remaining on the sidelines a little while longer.

Offering an injury update to reporters after his side's 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday, Solskjaer said: "We will have to check on him (Dan James) tonight.

"Scott [McTominay], Donny [van de Beek], Edinson [Cavani]... we hope they can be available for the weekend. Paul is still out for a few weeks."

A goalless stalemate in the last-32 second leg with Sociedad saw United progress thanks to a 4-0 win from the first leg, with 17-year-old Shola Shoretire making history at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
