Man United vs. Sunderland: How to watch, date, time, live stream and TV channel

How to watch Man United vs. Sunderland: Date, time, live stream and TV channel

Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they continue their 2025-26 campaign against Sunderland in gameweek seven.

The Red Devils, who are 14th in the Premier League table, will enter the match off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Brentford, while fifth-placed Sunderland recorded a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last time out.

Here, Sports Mole provides details of how to tune into the contest.

What time does Man United vs. Sunderland kick off?

The Premier League contest will kick off at 3pm UK time on Saturday.

Where is Man United vs. Sunderland being played?

The match will take place at Man United's home stadium, Old Trafford.

Sunderland's last visit to the Theatre of Dreams came in December 2016; the Black Cats were beaten 3-1 on that occasion, with Daley Blind, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the scoresheet for the Red Devils.

Highlights

Sky Sports will show highlights on their social media and YouTube channels, as well as on their dedicated app on Saturday evening.

UK viewers can also watch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day, which will start at 10:20pm on BBC One.

What is at stake for Man United and Sunderland?

There is major pressure on Man United head coach Ruben Amorim, with the Red Devils only picking up seven points from their opening six matches of the 2025-26 campaign.

The 20-time English champions lost at Brentford last time out, and another defeat would lead to more speculation surrounding Amorim, who has found it incredibly difficult at Old Trafford.

Amorim was in must-win territory before the September international break against Burnley, and he finds himself in that situation once again, this time ahead of the October international break.

Sunderland have made an excellent start to the season, though, picking up 11 points from their first six matches, with the Black Cats showing that they have enough quality to compete at this level.
