Juan Mata: Manchester United have "good chance" of FA Cup success

Juan Mata believes that Manchester United have a "good chance" of going all the way during this season's FA Cup.

Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has conceded that his side has a "good chance" of winning the FA Cup this season.

Pre-tournament favourites Chelsea and Manchester City have already been eliminated, as have the likes of Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

With that in mind and ahead of tonight's fifth-round clash with League One side Preston North End, Spain international Mata has insisted that the entire United squad is fully aware that they a decent opportunity of going all the way.

"All of us in the club are very aware of the good chance we have to achieve something great in this competition, and we will try to lift the trophy. But we must go step by step and focus only on this round," the 26-year-old wrote in his blog.

The Red Devils have not won the FA Cup since a 3-0 win over Millwall back in 2004.
