Arsenal's Raheem Sterling voted Premier League's Worst Signing of the Season over Man United, Liverpool flops

Sterling's plight continues as Arsenal flop voted Worst Premier League Signing

Arsenal flop Raheem Sterling has been voted the Worst Premier League Signing of the Season in the 2024-25 Sports Mole Readers' Awards.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City attacker was a last-minute acquisition for Mikel Arteta in the summer window, joining in an eleventh-hour loan deal from London rivals Chelsea.

Sterling had been frozen out by Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge, and he failed to revive his career at the Emirates, only managing two assists in 17 Premier League games for the Gunners.

After starting just seven top-flight matches and failing to score a single Premier League goal in 2024-25, Sterling has been named the worst signing of the season, taking 40.7% of the vote.

Second to the England international was Chelsea's Joao Felix, who spent the second half of the campaign on loan at AC Milan and was selected by 22% of our readers as the worst acquisition.

Liverpool's Federico Chiesa was third with 16.3%, ever so slightly higher than Manchester United flop Joshua Zirkzee, while Crystal Palace's Eddie Nketiah took a marginal share of the vote.
