Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic completes Schalke 04 loan switch

Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic has officially joined Schalke 04 on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.

The 21-year-old agreed terms with the Bundesliga club earlier this week before finalising the switch on Wednesday.

Nastasic recently revealed that a lack of first-team action at City forced him to move elsewhere.

The Serbian international has made 51 appearances in nearly three years for the Premier League champions.
