Manchester City's Manuel Pellegrini wins manager of the month award for December

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has scooped the Premier League manager of the month award for December.

The Chilean guided his side to six victories out of seven league matches last month, all of which resulted in City avoiding defeat.

The former English champions netted 20 goals during the month, with six coming against league leaders Arsenal and four against Fulham.

City clinched 19 points out of a possible 21 in December.
