Joe Hart: 'I had to stop Frank Lampard's penalty'

Joe Hart has said that he had to make sure that he saved Frank Lampard's penalty after conceding it.

Chelsea were awarded a spot kick during Manchester City's 2-0 win, with Lampard stepping up to take it in search of his 200th career goal.

The City keeper told Sky Sports News: "Lamps is a big hero of mine and it was nice to save it but I gave it away so I had to.

"It was just a case of trying to go the right way and getting a strong hand to it."

The win leaves the reigning Premier League champions 12 points behind Manchester United in the table.
