Pep Guardiola 'knows who Bayern Munich will appoint as new manager'

Guardiola 'knows who Bayern will appoint'

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed that he has told Pep Guardiola who the club's next manager will be.

The Bundesliga giants seem to have decided on a successor to Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked last week after the team lost 3-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Julian Nagelsmann and former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel have been linked with the position, along with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Guardiola, who left Bayern in 2016 following a three-year spell, is now in charge of Manchester City, but it seems that he still has a good relationship with Hoeness.

The club president told Abendzeitung: "It was purely a friendly get-together, but of course we exchanged ideas. I told him who we are going to appoint in the coming days. He was in agreement."

Bayern currently sit second in the Bundesliga table.
