Lyon move up to fourth in Ligue 1 after win against 10-man Bastia

Lyon up to fourth after beating Bastia

Lyon have moved up to fourth in Ligue 1 after a 2-0 home win against Bastia, who had Francois Kamano sent off for violent conduct.

The home side took the lead with 18 minutes gone as 19-year-old striker Aldo Kalulu Kyatengwa scored his first senior goal after being set up by former Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland midfielder Steed Malbranque.

Alexandre Lacazette fired a shot wide of the Bastia post minutes later, and Kamano had a long-range attempt saved for the visitors as the half whittled down.

There was more drama before the break, though, with Kamono receiving a straight red card for violent conduct after elbowing Lyon's Samuel Umtiti.

Lyon's Sergi Darder and Christophe Jallet missed attempts in a more settled second half for both sides, and it took until the 88th minute for Lyon to double their lead when Corentin Tolisso fired into the bottom right-hand corner to seal victory for the hosts.
