Lacazette eager to take France chance

Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette has admitted that he is keen to take his chance while on international duty with France this week.

The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for his club this season, scoring 11 goals in 13 Ligue 1 matches.

However, with just three previous international caps to his name, Lacazette now wants to impress Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps and earn himself a place in the squad for Euro 2016.

"I want to have a good week, get some game time, and why not score a goal," he told reporters. "Every time you wear the shirt it is with joy, and it is an honour. I think of all those who made me fall in love with football - the World Cup winners of 1998.

"I'm also thinking of Euro 2016, which is my objective in the medium to long term. I would really like to be there."

France entertain Albania in a friendly on Friday before hosting Sweden next Tuesday.
