Livingston switch focus to Hibs after hammering Hearts

The promoted side demolished the Jambos 5-0.

Manager Gary Holt insists he is firmly back to reality after Livingston's dream-like hammering of Hearts at home last Friday night.

The West Lothian side have raised some eyebrows with how well they have coped with the Ladbrokes Premiership after being promoted last season but their demolition of the Jambos made all of Scottish football sit up and take notice.

Ahead of the trip to Hibernian on Saturday, Holt – whose side are in sixth place in the table – revealed his thoughts the morning after the night before but stressed the Hearts game has been left behind as the focus turns to the green side of Edinburgh.

He said: "I will be honest, I woke up on Saturday morning and pinched myself, thinking, 'did it actually happen?'. I had to watch the game again.

"It is one of those games that happens very rarely, when you take your chances as well as we did.

"Over the moon with it but we put it to bed on Monday, as simple as that, because we have another big game this week and we can't rest on our laurels and think 'oh well, we are a good side, we won 5-0 on Friday'. We could easily get beat.

"We want to push on, we want another three points.

"We are going away from home now to a very good side and we have to be at the top of our game and produce the levels we produced on Friday and hopefully create enough chances to get us a couple of goals.

"The environment we set, win lose or draw, it's the same build-up going into the following game.

"We have to be working hammer and tongs every day to get a good result on a Saturday.

"It would have been the same on Monday if the result wasn't as positive as we got on Friday because we know we have another big game coming up on Saturday."
