Jacobs urges Livingston to build on 'unbelievable' Hearts win

Gary Holt's side thrashed the Gorgie side 5-0 last time out.

Midfielder Keaghan Jacobs hopes Livingston build on their "crazy" 5-0 home win over Hearts when they take on the green side of Edinburgh on Saturday.

Gary Holt's side caused quite a stir with their thrashing of the Gorgie side in their Ladbrokes Premiership encounter last Friday night.

The 29-year-old believes Livi will take encouragement from the victory and performance but is expecting a tough time against Hibernian at Easter Road.

Jacobs said: "I was confident going into the Hearts game but the scoreline was unbelievable.

"Even during the game when the score went three, then four, then five, I was thinking "this is crazy", but we took our chances at the right times and we did very well.

"It is massive for us. Hearts are a big team.

"People probably thought they would have come here and got a result, but we showed the kind of team we are and the type of fight we have, that we can go and battle against anyone.

"We will definitely try to do the same against Hibs. It is going to be a tough game but you've just got to go into the game the way we have been going in, just work hard and we will see what happens.

"Hibs are a massive team and we are always going to have to be at our best to compete against them."

Livingston's strength on their return to the top flight this season has been their home form, where they have lost in the league only to St Johnstone and where they beat Hibs 2-1 in September.

Jacobs said: "We take a lot from that Hibs performance but Saturday is a totally different game and hopefully we can go and get a result.

"We have made this place a fortress and most teams find it hard coming here.

"Obviously at home we are getting the points, so hopefully we can replicate that away from home.

"I don't think we are doing much different away from home. It's just not happening for us, but we have still been putting in the same effort and playing the same way but hopefully something changes."
