Report: Liverpool preparing Micah Richards bid

Liverpool will reportedly make a bid for Manchester City defender Micah Richards following Bacary Sagna's arrival at Manchester City.

The 25-year-old, who has been with the Premier League champions since joining their youth system in 2001, is thought to be surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.

According to the Daily Star, Brendan Rodgers is willing to offer £7m to bring the right-back to Anfield this summer.

Hull City and West Ham United have also been linked with a move for Richards during this transfer window.
