Mo Salah sends strong message to Liverpool fans amid Alexander Isak and Darwin Nunez comparison

Mo Salah sends 12-word demand to Liverpool fans amid Isak and Nunez comparison

Mohamed Salah has reminded Liverpool fans to be respectful towards players who helped the club win the Premier League title last season amid excitement over new signings.

The Reds reportedly spent over £446m on several new players, including blockbuster deals for Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak, in what has been the club's biggest transfer window in their history.

Liverpool also sold players worth £228m, with notable departures including Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Jarell Quansah.

While the euphoria surrounding the big-money signings is natural, Salah has reminded everyone that celebrations must not come at the expense of disrespecting those who have left Anfield.

Salah takes a strong stand for departing Liverpool players

An independent Liverpool fan page, Anfield Edition, on X shared that Isak and Wirtz have been massive upgrades over Diaz and Nunez, both of whom have left the club this summer.

Diaz joined Bayern Munich for a fee of around £65.5m, signing a four-year contract at the Allianz Arena, while Nunez moved to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal for a fee of around £46.2m.

The Colombian international scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions last season for Arne Slot's side, whereas Nunez was involved in 14 goals; both played their part in helping Liverpool win their 20th league title.

Salah responded to the post from Anfield Edition and wrote, "How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?"

The reply from the Egyptian winger got loads of attention, and Liverpool fans have supported him for his stance, with Jamie Carragher responding with a love emoji.

Almost perfect transfer window for Liverpool

After winning the trust of his players, the fans, and the club hierarchy by winning the Premier League in his first season, Slot was backed with funds to bolster the squad this summer.

The forward line has been revamped by the additions of top-quality players like Ekitike, Wirtz and Isak, while the Reds also added two fantastic full-backs in the form of Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez.

The only chink in the armour remains the failure to land Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi on the transfer deadline day, but Liverpool are reportedly expected to move for him again in the January window.
