Liverpool injury, suspension list & return dates for Bournemouth Premier League clash: Federico Chiesa, Alexander Isak latest

Fresh from their midweek continental success, Premier League champions Liverpool will be looking for their first win in five top-flight games when they travel to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Arne Slot's Reds produced a dominant display as they beat Marseille 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday, welcoming Mohamed Salah back into the XI after he returned from the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, the Merseysiders' Federico Chiesa suffered a setback in the training sessions preceding that win, and the club are still missing a number of other key players this weekend.

Young centre-back Giovanni Leoni arrived at Anfield with high hopes for his first Liverpool campaign, but he unfortunately tore his anterior cruciate ligament on his debut back in September.

The 19-year-old will return to action in 2026-27, looking to finally make his mark on Merseyside.

Possible return date: January 24 (vs. Bournemouth) 

Versatile forward Federico Chiesa picked up a minor injury in training on Tuesday, and though he took part in the warm-up before Marseille, the Italian was not fit enough to make the squad.

Slot mentioned that the club do not expect it to be a long-term injury, so Chiesa may yet be involved against Bournemouth.

ALEXANDER ISAK

Type of injury: Lower leg

Possible return date: March 21 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion) 

Striker Alexander Isak has been sidelined since last month, when he suffered a complex lower leg injury that included a fibula fracture against Tottenham Hotspur.

After undergoing successful surgery to repair the issue, the £125m star will need a couple of months out to recover.

CONOR BRADLEY

Possible return date: Unknown

Right-back Conor Bradley is out for the remainder of the season after being forced off with a major knee injury against Arsenal on January 8.

Like Isak, Bradley also underwent surgery, though his rehabilitation process will see him sidelined until late 2026.
