Andre Villas-Boas: 'It's not up to me to decide my future'

Andre Villas-Boas says that he will not decide whether or not he stays at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that his future at the club is not for him to decide.

There have been rumours that the former Chelsea boss could be sacked, while a report recently suggested that he had one month to save his job.

Speaking after the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool - a result that leaves Spurs seventh in the league - Villas-Boas said that his position at the club was in the hands of others.

"Regarding my position, it is not for me to decide. I can only work to make things better. Today was not to be because Liverpool had a great, great game. They deserve credit," he told BBC Sport.

"I don't need to convince anyone. Our run is magnificent in the other competitions but not in the Premier League. Our form in the Premier League is not there, our ambition to win trophies is the same and to qualify for the Champions League is the same."

Spurs have won eight of their 16 league games.
