Jordan Henderson: 'Liverpool full of confidence ahead of Manchester City clash'

Jordan Henderson insists that Liverpool are "full of confidence" heading into tonight's crunch match against Manchester City at the Etihad.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has insisted that he and his teammates have nothing to fear when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad stadium tonight.

The Reds fell two points short of the Premier League champions last season, but both teams have begun the new campaign with victories.

Liverpool secured a 2-1 win over Southampton at Anfield last Sunday, while City began the defence of their title with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United.

"We're always confident," Henderson told the club's official website. "With how far we have come and the progression we have shown, we can be confident against any side and that will be no different. We'll approach the game as we do every week, full of confidence and going there wanting to win."

Summer signings Lazar Markovic and Alberto Moreno could make their Liverpool debuts at the Etihad this evening.
