Antoine Kombouare satisfied despite loss to Paris Saint-Germain

Antoine Kombouare congratulates his Lens team for a pleasing performance in difficult circumstances after his nine-man side lost 3-1 to Paris Saint-Germain on Friday.

Lens manager Antoine Kombouare has praised his team for their display in the 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Friday night.

Kombouare's side led through an early goal from Adamo Coulibaly before losing two players to red cards on their way to a sixth loss in 10 games, but Kombouare refused to criticise his players.

"I want to congratulate my players, because I liked what I saw from them. I was worried, I didn't know how we would handle this game emotionally," the Lens boss told reporters.

"They stood up in the face of difficulty. The equaliser came too quickly, and once PSG levelled, they gained confidence. I can't argue with PSG's win.

"We are going to have to be able to pick up points in difficult times. I need to rebuild my team's morale, and our target is next week and the game against Toulouse."

Lens are currently 18th in Ligue 1 having won only two games this term.
