Leeds 'keen on deal for Norwegian goalkeeper'

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Valerenga Fotball goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson during this summer's transfer window.

Kiko Casilla's loan move to Elche, which was confirmed earlier this week, means that Marcelo Bielsa's side are expected to enter the market to bring another stopper to the club ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

According to Nettavisen, Klaesson's performances for Valerenga have caught the attention of the Whites, who have been monitoring the 20-year-old's progress 'over a long period of time'.

The report claims that the Premier League club are preparing to submit a 'concrete offer' in the near future, with the Norwegian viewed as the ideal player to rival Illan Meslier for the gloves at Elland Road.

Klaesson has featured on 55 occasions for his current side in all competitions, conceding 73 times and keeping 13 clean sheets in the process.

Leeds, meanwhile, will reportedly make a decision this week on a possible move for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez.
