Leeds accept Burnley bid for Chris Wood
Thomas Christiansen insists that 'no player is above Leeds United', as he confirms that striker Chris Wood is on his way out of the club.

Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has confirmed that striker Chris Wood is on his way to Burnley after a £15m bid from the Premier League side was accepted.

The New Zealand international ruled himself out of the Whites' 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday evening, claiming in a statement on his Twitter account that he was not in the right frame of mind to play.

Following plenty of speculation in recent weeks, with Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace also understood to have shown an interest, the long-running saga now appears to be over as Wood is expected to undergo a medical with Burnley in the next 24 hours.

Speaking to BBC Sport after his side's victory at the Stadium of Light, Christiansen said: "Chris Wood will leave the team. There is no-one above Leeds.

"Everyone worked for the same goal. Today was proof again that we are not winning games because of the individual player, but as the team."

Wood netted 27 league goals for United last season to finish top of the Championship scoring charts.
