Wednesday's Scottish Premiership predictions including Hibernian vs. Celtic

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Scottish Premiership fixtures, including Hibernian vs. Celtic.

Kilmarnock vs. Livingston (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches, Kilmarnock will welcome basement dwellers Livingston to The BBSP Stadium on Wednesday night for a Scottish Premiership encounter.

Killie managed to earn a point from a trip to Motherwell on the weekend, while the Lions were unable to return from Ibrox with anything to show for their efforts.

We say: Kilmarnock 2-0 Livingston

Kilmarnock earned a respectable point at Motherwell last time out, and with January arrival Van Veen set for his full debut, the hosts will be confident of easing past Livingston on Wednesday.

The Lions will have more chances to impress in an attacking sense than they did at Ibrox on the weekend, nevertheless we feel that the end result will be the same at Rugby Park.

St Johnstone vs. Hearts (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Aiming to continue their impressive winning streak, Europe-chasing Hearts will make the trip to McDiarmid Park to face St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night.

The Saints squeezed past Ross County to earn three points last time out, while the Jambos came out on top of a five-goal thriller at Dundee.

We say: St Johnstone 1-2 Hearts

St Johnstone have enjoyed a productive unbeaten run in the Premiership of late, but the visit of Hearts on Wednesday night will be the toughest test of 2024 to date.

The Jambos have scored at least twice in their last six matches, and we expect that trend to continue here as Naismith's side record another victory.

St Mirren vs. Dundee (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

St Mirren will welcome Dundee to the SMiSA Stadium on Wednesday for an important contest in the fight for top-half places in the Scottish Premiership table.

After a victory at the weekend, the hosts sit six points ahead of their sixth-placed visitors having played two matches more in Scotland's top flight.

We say: St Mirren 2-1 Dundee

The two teams boast similar levels of quality, and while St Mirren have failed to put a consistent run together since September, we fancy them to make it back-to-back triumphs on home turf following their confidence-boosting display at the weekend.

Hibernian vs. Celtic (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Aiming to bounce back from a disappointing draw at the weekend and maintain their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, Celtic travel to Easter Road to take on Hibernian on Wednesday.

The visitors' lead over title rivals Rangers was cut to three points in a stalemate with Aberdeen, while their hosts now sit seventh in the midst of a tough run of form.

We say: Hibernian 0-2 Celtic

While still missing several key players, Celtic will be desperate to rebound from the weekend's setback and still have more than enough quality to see off a Hibernian side lacking any momentum.
