Scottish Premiership roundup: Aberdeen hold onto second place

Russell Anderson found the net deep into stoppage time to rescue a point for Aberdeen at Motherwell and keep his side in second place in the Scottish Premiership table.

Stuart McCall's team twice led during the game, with Zaine Francis-Angol firing them back in front after Dons debutante Adam Rooney had cancelled out Stephen McManus's opener.

At the other end of the division, Hearts are no longer on negative points for the current campaign following their 2-1 win at Ross County, which came courtesy of a Scott Robinson goal 10 minutes from time.

Kilmarnock moved up to eighth after goals from Lee Ashcroft and Kris Boyd gave them a 2-0 victory over Inverness Caledonia Thistle at Rugby Park.

Meanwhile, St Mirren and Partick Thistle drew a blank.

Results in full: Kilmarnock 2-0 Inverness, Motherwell 2-2 Aberdeen, Ross County 1-2 Hearts, St Mirren 0-0 Partick Thistle
