Scott Parker: 'No regrets over Queens Park Rangers snub'

Scott Parker says that he does not regret his decision to snub a switch to QPR last summer as he prepares for a stint in the Championship.

Fulham midfielder Scott Parker has insisted that he does not regret snubbing a move to Queens Park Rangers last summer.

The 33-year-old is poised for a stint in the Championship after being relegated with the Cottagers last season.

In contrast, QPR are gearing up for a return to the Premier League, but the veteran is refusing to look back on what could have been.

"I'm not one to look back, and sure, QPR was an opportunity for me - but I made a decision and I stick by it," he told the Fulham Chronicle.

"I signed a contract and unless anybody high up tells me different, I'm here and I'll try my hardest to push the club in the right direction.

"When a club gets relegated, there are a lot of changes, and it's in the back of the mind the call will come that the club are looking to move you on, but that hasn't been the case here."

Fulham kick off their Championship campaign with a trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday evening.
