Michael Laudrup hails "well deserved" win

Michael Laudrup believes Swansea City were "deserved" winners against Fulham this afternoon.

Michael Laudrup believes that his Swansea City team were worthy winners against Fulham today in what was an "important" victory.

The Swans came away from Craven Cottage with a 2-1 win after an own goal from Aaron Hughes and a Jonjo Shelvey strike sandwiched Scott Parker's reply for the Cottagers.

The Swans had 21 shots compared to Fulham's nine and Laudrup insists that his players did more than enough to warrant three points.

"Another win away is always difficult wherever you play and especially this time. It was so important for us today. Apart from that though we played very well and I think it was well deserved," he told BBC Sport.

"In difficult moments, it is important to get points and we kept our way of playing. It's not always easy when you have added pressure so I have to congratulate the team.

"We scored good goals and we had chances for more but even without looking through biased eyes, we deserved it."

Swansea are now 10th in the league.
