Fulham midfielder Alexander Kacaniklic believes that his side's poor form in the last few games of the season cost them a top-half finish in the Premier League.

Fulham midfielder Alexander Kacaniklic has admitted that he was pleased to secure a win on the final day of the season, but feels that his side should have finish in the top-half of the Premier League.

The Cottagers secured a 3-0 win over Swansea City on the last day of the season, which ended a run of five straight defeats towards the latter half of the campaign.

Kacaniklic told the club's official website: "In the past two months we haven't been at our best and that put us in a position that we didn't want to be in.

"It's great to end the season really well and it's meant we've climbed a couple of places in the league table too which is good because Fulham is a top-10 club in my eyes.

"People look at Fulham and they know we want to be in the top 10 so we're not too far away with where we ended up but we want to be higher."

Fulham ended the season in 12th place in the Premier League.
