Fulham run out 3-0 winners at Swansea City

Goals from Alex Kacaniklic, Dimitar Berbatov and Urby Emanuelson gave Fulham a 3-0 away win against Swansea City in the Premier League this afternoon.

The result perhaps flattered the Londoners in a game that the Swans might feel aggrieved to have lost after a dominant second-half display at the Liberty Stadium.

The visitors had a chance as early as the second minute but Bryan Ruiz's reluctance to use his weaker right foot resulted in the chance petering out with the Costa Rican scuffing an effort.

Kacaniklic gave his side the lead after 22 minutes after Ruiz's clever backheel to Emmanuel Frimpong led to the latter sliding in the Swede, who struck it hard into Michel Vorm's bottom corner.

The Swede nearly doubled his afternoon's tally on 34 minutes when Berbatov held off a challenge from Chico Flores to set him up, but his effort struck the post after a vital touch from the Swans goalkeeper.

Nathan Dyer and Michu exchanged passes nine minutes before half time, leading to the former trying a dipping effort that went narrowly over Mark Schwarzer's goal.

Ten minutes after the restart, the home side should have been level, but Chico's header was straight at Schwarzer after a good cross from Dyer.

As the Swans started to dominate, Fulham's defence started to drop deeper and deeper and Pablo Hernandez was thwarted again by Schwarzer as the veteran Australian closed his angle down well.

Schwarzer made another save after 64 minutes from Leon Britton when he tipped over a stinging effort from the midfielder.

With the tide of the game seemingly in Swansea's favour, Martin Jol's side doubled their lead when Kacaniklic danced around Vorm before squaring to Berbatov to tap home against the run of play with 13 minutes left.

Emmanuelson added the third in stoppage time when he tapped in after Kacaniklic's shot was deflected into the Dutchman's path.
