Ashkan Dejagah is likely to miss the rest of the season as he needs to undergo ankle ligament surgery.

Fulham winger Ashkan Dejagah will miss the rest of the Premier League season, manager Martin Jol has confirmed.

Dejagah was injured during Fulham's 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers and Jol has revealed that the Iranian requires surgery on his ankle ligament.

"Ashkan Dejagah needs an operation on his ankle ligament," BBC Sport quotes Jol as saying.

"That will be next week and I think he will be out for the rest of the season."

Dejagah was replaced on the right flank against Newcastle United by Stanislav Manolev.
