Joao Silva departs Everton

Portuguese midfielder Joao Silva has departed Everton to join Levski Sofia on a three-year contract.

The 22-year-old joined the Toffees in June 2010 from Portuguese outfit Aves, but he did not make a single appearance for the club's first team.

The Portugal Under-21s international spent loan spells at Uniao Leiria and Vitoria Setabal last season, but he has now left the club on a permanent basis.

Everton are currently in Austria as they embark on their pre-season tour.
