Thomas Hitzlsperger extends Everton stay

Thomas Hitzlsperger has extended his contract with Everton until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old German midfielder signed a three-month deal with the Toffees in October following his release from Wolfsburg.

"We have decided to keep him on," manager David Moyes told reporters. "Thomas is going to stay until the end of the season."

Hitzlsperger has made seven appearances for Everton in the three months that he has been at the club.
