Martinez: 'Lennon arrival has boosted squad'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes that the arrival of Aaron Lennon will give his side a major boost in confidence for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old has joined the Toffees from Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal until the end of the season, and Martinez is adamant that the signing has lifted his squad due to the player's quality.

Martinez told BBC Sport: "I think everyone benefits when a club is able to bring in a player of the pedigree of someone like Aaron Lennon. You can see that everyone in the dressing room now has a spring in their step.

"He's a player who's put a smile on the faces of all the other players. Not that he smiled in his photos when he joined us! That's something I blame the photographer for, by the way."
