Andre Villas-Boas, Tony Pulis candidates for Everton vacancy?

Andre Villas-Boas and Tony Pulis reportedly emerge as candidates for the Everton vacancy.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly emerged as a potential candidate for the Everton manager's job, while Tony Pulis could also be under consideration.

Widespread reports have claimed that the Merseyside outfit have held fresh talks with Sam Allardyce, despite the experienced coach recently ruling himself out of the running.

Now, according to 101greatgoals, rumours are rife that Villas-Boas could be considered due to his current club Shanghai SIPG recently losing the Chinese FA Cup final.

The Portuguese coach has Premier League experience having managed Chelsea and Tottenham, but he failed to last longer than a year at each outfit.

Elsewhere, The Times reports that Pulis, who was sacked by West Bromwich Albion last week, is open to taking on the role at Goodison Park until the end of the season.

Everton currently sit two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League after 13 games.
