Preview: England Under-21 vs. Lithuania Under-21

England U21 vs. Lithuania U21

Gareth Southgate will take charge of the England Under-21s for the first time in front of a home crowd when they take on their Lithuanian counterparts in a European Championship qualifier at Portman Road tomorrow night.

The young Lions are unbeaten under Southgate's guidance, having drawn 1-1 in Finland before recording a 4-0 victory over San Marino.

Harry Kane netted a hat-trick in that fixture and is expected to lead the line this time around. However, Southgate will have to make do without Raheem Sterling because the Liverpool winger has been called up to the senior squad by Roy Hodgson.

That has brought a host of players into contention, but Manchester United's Jesse Lingard, who is currently on loan with Birmingham City, has been heavily tipped to feature. Elsewhere, Southgate is not expected to make too many changes to his starting lineup.

Meanwhile, Lukas Spalvis is regarded by many to be Lithuania's key player. The 19-year-old Aalborg BK striker has scored three goals in his last five outings at Under-21 level.
