Neville: 'Scotland are a strong unit'

England coach Gary Neville has admitted that Scotland have the experience and ability to cause his side problems in their friendly clash.

Gordon Strachan's men are unbeaten in their last three matches, and put in a quality display to defeat the Republic of Ireland in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Friday.

The former Manchester United defender believes that the Three Lions will be in for a battle at Celtic Park in their showdown.

Neville is quoted as saying by The Mirror: "Scotland are a mature team. They have got a lot of experience and know-how. Guys like Charlie Mulgrew, Steven Naismith, Shaun Maloney and Steven Whittaker have been around for a while.

"They know the game and a lot of them have been around the Premier League for a long time. They have matured together and all know their jobs under Gordon.

"There's a great work ethic among them and when you have that with a bit of quality, which Scotland has, you become a good side. There's a bit of depth there now. The lad Chris Martin, who came on for Steven Fletcher, was a real handful the other night."

England recorded a 3-2 victory in the last meeting between the sides last year.
