Saturday's Scottish Premiership predictions including St Mirren vs. Hearts

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Scottish Premiership fixtures, including St Mirren vs. Hearts.

Dundee vs. Motherwell (Saturday, 3.00pm)

It is a must-win game for Motherwell this Saturday should they wish to be in the top half when the Scottish Premiership splits after next weekend.

They travel to face Dundee, and just a single point for the Dark Blues would rule that out for the visitors.

We say: Dundee 2-1 Motherwell

There is not much to split these two teams in the league table, and that in itself should lead to a close match as neither will want to slip up.

However, it could be the end of the line as far as Motherwell's top-half hopes are concerned, as Dundee should have enough quality to take all three points.

Hibernian vs. St Johnstone (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hibernian's quest to secure a place in the top half of the Scottish Premiership before the league splits will continue this Saturday when they host St Johnstone.

The visitors have failed to win a game in their previous three outings, and are currently concentrating on staying outside the relegation zone.

We say: Hibernian 2-0 St Johnstone

St Johnstone might need points desperately to aid their fight for survival in the top flight, but Hibernian should have too much quality for them here.

The Hibees want to be part of the top half when the table splits, and their stronger home form should help to push them one step closer to achieving that.

Kilmarnock vs. Ross County (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two sides operating at opposing ends of the Scottish Premiership come together on Saturday afternoon when fourth-placed Kilmarnock host relegation-threatened Ross County at the BBSP Stadium Rugby Park.

The hosts are in fourth coming into this game, two points ahead of fifth-placed St Mirren, while the visitors are 11th but just a point behind 10th-placed St Johnstone.

We say: Kilmarnock 2-1 Ross County

Matches between these two sides have produced rather even contests in recent years, but Kilmarnock have enjoyed three wins in the last five meetingso at Rugby Park, and we think they will win again in this one too.

Livingston vs. Aberdeen (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Livingston's fight for survival in the Scottish Premiership continues this Saturday when they play host to Aberdeen.

While the Lions are trying to escape the relegation zone, the visitors will be focusing on being in the top half of the table when the division splits next weekend.

We say: Livingston 0-2 Aberdeen

Time is running out for Livingston to try and fight for their safety in the Scottish Premiership, and their poor form this season makes them the underdogs this weekend.

While Aberdeen are not too far away in terms of the league table, the Dons are playing well at the moment and should pick up a win here.

St Mirren vs. Hearts (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hearts manager Steven Naismith reacts on October 29, 2023© Reuters

Two teams fighting for a European place in the Scottish Premiership will meet this Saturday as Hearts makes the trip to face St Mirren.

Both go into this match on the back of two games without a win, which is the type of form they will be hoping to change heading into the final stretch of the season.

We say: St Mirren 1-1 Hearts

With each team boasting a victory over the other already this season, either could realistically walk away with three points this weekend.

However, the fact both are out of form could lead to them sharing the points as they try to get things back on track.
