Boss Oliver Glasner's future is also uncertain, as is the future of centre-forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, and the club will need a replacement for him if he does depart this winter.

Reports had emerged suggesting that Palace were close to securing a deal with Wolves for striker Strand Larsen for £50m.

However, Sky Sports News report that Palace have communicated their readiness to walk away from a deal due to difficult negotiations.

Nottingham Forest are reported to be awaiting an official response from Crystal Palace regarding a bid for Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Sean Dyche's side are 17th with 25 points in the Premier League, five more than 18th-placed West Ham United.

Reinforcing in January may be sensible if the club wish to maintain their advantage over the Hammers, with the team linked to Crystal Palace striker Mateta.

Reports have suggested that the Garibaldis have lodged a formal bid for the 28-year-old, and with the Eagles hoping to sign Strand Larsen, there is hope that a deal can be agreed.

Sky Sports News claim that Forest are yet to receive an official response, but perhaps the reason why is because Dyche's side are set to host Palace at the City Ground on Sunday.

Oleksandr Zinchenko latest: Transfer to Ajax

Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko will complete a move to Ajax on Friday, the latest report has claimed.

The Gunners defender signed on loan for Nottingham Forest in September 2025 after being phased out of Mikel Arteta's plans.

However, the Ukrainian international has started just four times for the club in the Premier League this season, and he has found himself on the periphery of the XI.
