Transfer news and rumours today: Evann Guessand to Crystal Palace, Rodrigo Muniz to Atalanta, Anel Ahmedhodzic to Feyenoord

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Nice forward Evann Guessand.

The 24-year-old is attracting significant transfer interest after enjoying a successful 2024-25 campaign with the French club.

Guessand netted 12 goals and contributed nine assists in 33 Ligue 1 matches to help his side secure a top-four finish. 

According to Mick Brown for Football Insider, Palace have entered the race to sign Guessand in the final month of the summer transfer window.

The report claims that are currently conducting 'background work' on a possible deal before they make a decision to step up their interest with a formal proposal.

Palace could face competition from a number of other Premier League clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion all believed to be among his potential suitors. 

Guessand offers his admirers great versatility in attacking areas due to his ability to play as a centre-forward and on either flank.

Atalanta eyeing Fulham striker

Meanwhile, Serie A side Atalanta BC have reportedly identified Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz as a potential transfer target.

Atalanta are searching for a new centre-forward after selling Mateo Retegui to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Qadsiah for around €65m (£56.6m).

According to Sky Sports News, Atalanta are ‘considering’ Muniz as one of the potential options to replace Retegui. 

Leeds have previously been linked with a move for the Brazilian, while Newcastle United have been credited with an interest in his signature. 

Fulham are believed to be reluctant to part ways with the 24-year-old, who has a year left on his contract with an option to extend by a further 12 months.

Muniz is currently one of two centre-forward options that Marco Silva has at his disposal, along with Mexico international Raul Jimenez.

Ahmedhodzic on brink of Sheffield United exit

Elsewhere, Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodzic looks set to complete a move to Dutch giants Feyenoord. 

Ahmedhodzic has made 114 appearances in all competitions since joining the Blades from Malmo in the summer of 2022. 

The 26-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Sheffield United squad, but his time at Bramall Lane appears to be drawing to a close. 

As per Sky Sports News, Sheffield United are close to agreeing a deal with Feyenoord over a transfer for Ahmedhodzic.

With the player out of contract next summer, the Blades have opted to sanction his sale rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2026. 

There is an expectation that the transfer will be completed before Ruben Selles’s side face Bristol City in their Championship opener on Saturday.
