Timmy Simons returns to Club Brugge

Club Brugge sign Timmy Simons for his second spell at the club.

Nuremberg midfielder Timmy Simons has agreed a two-year deal to return to hometown side Club Brugge.

Simons admitted that he thought the Belgian side would not be able to agree a deal with Nuremberg, but has targeted trophies now that his return to Brugge has been completed.

"A few times it was not possible to reach an agreement with Nurnberg, but eventually we managed to," UEFA.com quotes Simons as saying.

"I still want to win, I still have that drive. I want to win every match, even in training. At the age of 36 my ambition remains to win trophies."

Simons played every Bundesliga game for Nuremberg in his three years at the club.
