Fiorentina release Stevan Jovetic statement

Fiorentina have released a brief statement categorically denying that Montenegrin forward Stevan Jovetic is available for transfer.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to European champions Chelsea this summer.

It had been reported that the Blues had lodged a £20m bid for the player, though that was denied by Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade and the Florence club have now reasserted their stance through a short post on their official website.

"In relation to reports in the media about Stevan Jovetic, patron Andrea Della Valle insists that the player is not on the market," read the statement.

Jovetic scored 14 goals in Serie A last season.
