Brazilian defender Maicon is reportedly close to completing a move to Chelsea.
The full-back's agent recently conceded that his client was likely to end his six-year stint at the San Siro this summer.
That led to speculation linking him with a return to his homeland, with a number of Brazilian clubs said to be interested in his services.
However, new Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is believed to be keen on bolstering his options at right-back and has identified the 30-year-old as an ideal candidate, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The Blues have limited options in that position following the recent release of Jose Bosingwa.
