Chelsea confirm Nathan de Souza deal

Chelsea agree terms to sign Brazilian youngster Nathan from Atletico Paranaense this summer.

Chelsea have confirmed that terms have been agreed with Atletico Paranaense over a summer move for talented Brazilian midfielder Nathan de Souza.

The 19-year-old revealed earlier this month that an agreement had been reached to join the Premier League champions this summer, although no official confirmation had been given by the Blues.

However, a statement on the club's official website has announced that the youngster, who has represented his country at Under-17s and Under-20 level, will complete his move to Stamford Bridge on July 1.

"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea, the champions of England, and I hope I will be able to learn a lot and develop my game," Nathan said.

It has been reported that the attacking midfielder may have to be loaned out before being granted a work permit at Chelsea.
