Barcelona are open to the idea of Sergino Dest moving on during the January transfer window, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly open to the idea of Sergino Dest leaving the club during the January transfer window.

The United States international has made 16 appearances for the Catalan giants during the 2021-22 campaign, but he has struggled for action since Xavi's arrival as head coach.

Dest was not in the squad for the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Real Madrid last week amid the speculation surrounding his future at Camp Nou.

Chelsea and Manchester City are both believed to be interested in the 21-year-old, who still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his contract with the Catalan side.

According to ESPN, Barcelona are open to Dest moving on during the January transfer window, but the American is still hoping to remain at Camp Nou.

The right-back's agent recently said that his client, who is also believed to be of interest to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, has no intention of switching clubs this month.
