Chelsea, Man City-linked Sergino Dest 'has no intention of leaving Barcelona'

Sergino Dest has no interest in leaving Barcelona during the January transfer window, according to his agent Michael Reschke.

Chelsea and Manchester City have reportedly been dealt a blow in their efforts to sign Barcelona defender Sergino Dest.

The Catalan giants are still required to part ways with at least one more player in order to accommodate January arrival Ferran Torres in their La Liga squad.

That has led to the possibility of versatile wide player Dest being allowed to depart Camp Nou, particularly with the United States international not short of admirers.

Premier League duo Chelsea and Man City have both been heavily linked with the 21-year-old in recent weeks, the two teams keen to strengthen on the left-hand side of their backline.

However, speaking to Bild, Dest's agent Michael Reschke claims that his player has "no intention of changing clubs" at the midway point of the campaign.

Commenting on alleged interest from Bayern Munich, Reschke added: "I'm quite sceptical about a possible transfer to Bayern this summer."

While Dest has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season, injury has prevented him from making an appearance since December 8.
